How to Find Us

By Car

We recommend that unless you know the city well, when travelling from the North, East and South, you approach Sheffield by the M1 (and M18, depending on your direction of travel). From the West, use the A57 Snake Pass via Glossop.

From M1, M18

  • Approach Sheffield on the M1 and leave the motorway at Junction 33, following the City Centre signs along the Parkway dual carriageway, which ends in a large roundabout – Park Square.
  • From here, take the third exit (A61 south) signposted Chesterfield.
  • You will pass the train station on your left hand side.
  • Move into the right hand lane and follow signposts for Ring Road A61 (also signs for Bramall Lane and Hospitals).
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit signposted A61 Ring Road (Barnsley, Castleton).
  • At roundabout take 2nd exit signposted A61 Ring Road (Barnsley, Glossop) and proceed up the dual carriageway.
  • At the roundabout take the 1st exit signposted Glossop A57.
  • Proceed along this road past the Children’s Hospital (on your left), and the Weston Park Hospital (on your left).
  • At the first set of shops move into the left hand lane and carry on straight through the traffic lights and continue through Broomhill shopping precinct (Somerfields on your right).
  • Keep in the left hand lane after the shops and carry straight on to Fulwood Road (ignore signs for A57 Glossop from here).
  • Proceed along Fulwood Road for approximately 1.5 miles (past Thornbury Hospital on your right) and after the Tesco / Esso petrol station (on your left) take your second left onto Old Fulwood Road and Fulwood House will be straight in front.

From the West (A57)

  • Turn right into Lodge Lane and follow the road to the junction at the top of the hill.
  • Turn left into Redmires Road.
  • Take the second right into Crimicar Lane, The Sheffield pub is on the corner.
  • Follow Crimicar Lane all the way down the hill to the bottom.
  • Turn left at the junction into Brookhouse Hill, which then becomes Fulwood Road and take the third right into Old Fulwood Road.

By Rail/Bus

Regular InterCity rail services operate between Sheffield and London St. Pancras (2 hours 30 minutes), Birmingham (1 hours 15 minutes), Derby (45 minutes), Leeds (1 hour) Manchester (1 hour) and Nottingham (1 hour). Timetable information.

Taxis are available from outside the station. The journey to Fulwood takes around 20-25 minutes.

There is a bus service from the centre of Sheffield to Fulwood (First Mainline no. 40 and Stagecoach No. 120) throughout the day. Timetable information.
