East Midlands Obesity Indicators spreadsheetThe obesity indicator spreadsheets are a useful tool for comparing data within various geographical boundaries with national and regional data as well as with data from previous years.

The document contains four spreadsheets:

  • East Midlands_LA – data is displayed by Local Authority, comparisons are made to the East Midlands average.
  • East  Midlands_PCT - data is displayed by Primary Care Trust, comparisons are made to the East Midlands average.
  • England_LA - data is displayed by Local Authority, comparisons are made to the England average.
  • England_PCT - data is displayed by Primary Care Trust, comparisons are made to the England average.

Cells containing data are displayed using a traffic light system with red cells showing data which is significantly worse than the comparison area and green cells data which is significantly better. Amber cells show that there was no significant difference at the 95% confidence level.

Where directional arrows are shown in cells following a data cell this indicates a comparison with data from the previous year, the direction on the arrow symbolises a significant move in that direction at the 95% confidence level.
