Regional context
Within the East Midlands EMPHO are proving a core role around raising awareness of social marketing and providing advice on segmentation tools and methods. We are also working closely with the National Social Marketing Centre in their objectives of developing a professional forum within the region and on the East Midlands Beacon Project. EMPHO are also providing training for public health analysts and commissioners within the region on geo-demographic segmentation, GIS and evaluation.
Additionally EMPHO are working with other Public Health Observatories through APHO (Association of Public Health Observatories) in developing links and relationships with NSMC and Department of Health around their work on the ‘One Stop Shop’ research based web resource and the Healthy Foundations segmentation project.
