INFORMATION RESOURCES ON JOINT STRATEGIC NEEDS ASSESSMENT

Local context
EMPHO and CSIP hosted a day event on JSNA in July 2007. This comprised a combination of presentations and workshops and resulted in a timetable for development of a regional action plan. The aims of the day were:
- To define the JSNA policy context;
- To understand what a JSNA comprises of;
- To present what is currently being done at a local level in the region;
- To discuss key elements of the JSNA, including strategic approach, integration across and within organisations, data issues and the inclusion of users’ views;
- To determine what regional co-ordination and / or support would be appropriate.

JSNA Regional Planning Group (RPG)
The RPG consists of representatives from Primary Care Trust, Local Authority and Regional bodies. This group was formed following the JSNA day event of July 2007 (see above). Its task is to develop a regional action plan. The notes from the meetings are linked to below.

Derby City JSNA
The JSNA is split into 4 main sections:

Leicester City
This document introduces the role and purpose of the JSNA. It is then
broken down into 5 further sections:
- The demography of the Leicester City population
- Social and environmental context
- Current health and wellbeing
- Social care current met needs of the population
- Patient and service user voice and public demand
Leicestershire JSNA
This document consists of three documents two analytical and an executive summary. The analysis is broken down into:
- Demography
- Social and environmental context
- Lifestyle/risk factors
- Burden of ill health and disability
- Service use: social care
- Patient and service user voice
- Detailed Health Needs Assessments and other strategy documents
Lincolnshire JSNA
This document provides a background to the concept of JSNA, before analysing the needs of Lincolnshire’s population, broken into seven sections:
- Demographics.
- Health.
- Children and Young People.
- Older People.
- People with Physical Disabilities, Sensory Impairment and Learning Difficulties.
- People with Mental Health Needs.
- Crime and Disorder.
Northamptonshire
The Northamptonshire JSNA executive summary is split into ten sections:

This is split into the sections:
